This sweet family has invited me back year after year, and every session feels like catching up with old friends. We always meet in the same beautiful spot near their neighborhood, but somehow every gallery ends up feeling completely different. As the seasons change, so does the landscape, and I love finding new angles, fresh pockets of light, and creative ways to tell their family's story.

Most people worry when they see a windy forecast before their session, but some of my favorite images happen when we embrace whatever nature gives us.
There were definitely moments when we were all laughing as the wind tossed everyone's hair around, but instead of fighting it, we leaned into it. Those in-between moments became some of my favorite photographs from the evening!

Even with the breeze, Arizona gave us the most beautiful evening light.

This location is unlike many others around the Valley. The massive granite boulders create a dramatic backdrop that feels rugged, timeless, and distinctly Arizona. Every year I'm reminded why this is one of my favorite places to photograph. No matter how many times I visit, I always discover a new perspective or another beautiful corner that inspires me. It's one of those locations that never gets old.
