I say this all the time, but honestly, there is nothing better than having a family come back to you year after year. As a Gilbert family photographer, getting to watch families grow and document their lives through different seasons is one of my favorite parts of this job.

Kaytlyn and I actually met when she did my lashes, and we ended up having our babies just a month apart! I always love getting to see her, and I'm even more excited when I get the chance to photograph her sweet family.

This year's session at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve was especially beautiful. The light was absolutely dreamy, and everything came together perfectly.

A Beautiful Morning Family Session in Gilbert

We chose a morning for this morning family session in Gilbert, and I'm so glad we did.

The light was soft and glowy, filtering beautifully through the trees without creating the harsh shadows that can sometimes happen during Arizona sessions. The entire preserve had this peaceful, warm feeling that made the perfect backdrop for family photos.

Morning sessions can be such a great option for families who want beautiful natural light without needing to wait until sunset. At the Riparian Preserve, the trees and greenery create gorgeous pockets of light throughout the morning.

And this morning? The light was about as perfect as it gets.

The Gilbert Riparian Preserve is one of my favorite locations for family photography because it offers so much variety.

The trees, greenery, walking paths, and open spaces give us plenty of opportunities to move around and create a gallery that feels diverse while still having a cohesive look.

I especially love photographing families here when the light is soft. The way it filters through the trees creates that beautiful glowy effect that makes every image feel warm and natural.

For this session, we had just the right amount of light coming through the trees, creating gorgeous highlights without overwhelming the shadows.

One of the best things about Gilbert family photography is getting to see the same families year after year.

Kids change so quickly. Their personalities grow, their little features change, and suddenly you realize how much has happened since the last time you photographed them.

Being invited back to document those changes is such an honor.
