My sweet friend Amber and her family were preparing for a big move to Maryland while expecting their newest little one. Before they packed up and began their next adventure, they wanted to capture this exciting season with a maternity photo session in a place that was so special to them—Gilbert, Arizona.
I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate this chapter than creating beautiful family maternity pics that would always remind them of the place they called home!

A Beautiful Sunrise Maternity Photo Session
For their session, we chose one of my favorite locations in Gilbert. It offers the perfect combination of natural scenery, open space, and beautiful morning light.
While many families automatically think of sunset sessions, sunrise can be just as magical. On this particular morning, the light was so soft and warm that it looked remarkably similar to golden hour. The gentle glow created the dreamiest atmosphere and gave every image a timeless, airy feel.
The peaceful morning also meant we had plenty of space to enjoy the session without crowds, allowing this family to simply relax and enjoy spending time together before their big move.
Why I Love Family Maternity Photography
One of my favorite things about family maternity sessions is that they celebrate more than just a pregnancy—they celebrate the entire family.
Older siblings get to be part of the excitement, parents get to slow down and soak in the anticipation of welcoming a new baby, and together we create photographs that tell the story of this unique season of life.
