The Sweetest Golden-Hour Moments After Birth
As a birth photographer in Phoenix, Arizona, golden hour is one of my absolute favorite parts of a birth session. The tiny details, the cuddly newborn snuggles, and those magical first moments together are all so sweet. Everything feels so fresh and new, and I love getting to document a family as they get to know their baby.

An Unexpected Phoenix Birth Session
Mama had already gone to the hospital and been sent home TWICE. Then, as she was getting out of the truck at home after being sent home for the second time, her water broke!
As soon as she texted me, I booked it to the hospital.
Her only birth plan was to get an epidural, but this baby had other plans. Labor progressed so quickly that not only did she not get an epidural, but she also ended up delivering in an overflow room!
Birth is so unpredictable, and this is such a good reminder that even when you have a plan, your baby's arrival might look completely different than you imagined. And that's okay!

One of the things I love most about Phoenix labor and delivery photography is that every birth story is completely different. Sometimes labor unfolds slowly, and other times everything happens so quickly that there is barely time to catch your breath.
No matter how a baby arrives, there are so many meaningful moments worth remembering. From the anticipation of labor to the first time parents hold their baby, I want to document the real emotions and connections that make each birth unique.
After such an unexpected and fast delivery, getting to slow down and photograph this family together during golden hour was especially sweet.
