Scottsdale Family Photos With a Returning Family

One of my very favorite families at one of my very favorite locations! As a Scottsdale Arizona family photographer, there is nothing better than having families come back for photos year after year. Getting to watch their kids grow and document all the little changes along the way is one of the best parts of what I do.

This sweet family always starts their session at their home, and then we walk over to this incredible mountain location for the rest of their photos. And the views from their neighborhood? They have the BEST view of Usery Mountain and the Superstition Mountains, all in the same spot!

Scottsdale Desert Family Photos Among the Boulders

I can never get over the boulders at this location. There really isn't anywhere else quite like it!

The warm desert colors, unique rock formations, and mountain views make it such a beautiful place for Scottsdale desert family photos. I love how the tones in the landscape complement everyone's skin, creating that gorgeous, natural glow.

The colors here are seriously so perfect. Between the earthy boulders and the soft desert light, everyone's skin tones look absolutely GLOWY. It's one of those locations that makes me want to photograph every family here!

Arizona Family Portraits With Beautiful Desert Light

One of my favorite things about creating Arizona family portraits is finding locations that feel unique to each family. This spot has so much natural character that we don't need a lot of extra details or complicated setups. The landscape itself does so much of the work!

I also love that we get to start at their home before heading out to the boulders. It gives their gallery a little more variety and makes their session feel personal to them, rather than just another set of family photos at a pretty location.

And because I've photographed this family year after year, these sessions mean even more to me. It's so special to have families who trust me to document their story as the years go by.
