Daisy Birthday | Gilbert Arizona Birth Photographer

As a birth photographer in Gilbert, Arizona, home births are some of the most powerful stories I get to witness. There is so much quiet strength in unmedicated labor, and being present for it never stops feeling like an honor!

When Jessi first reached out, she shared that her previous labors had been very quick. So when she texted to say she was already at a 9, I rushed to the birth center fully expecting to arrive just in time. Jessi was pushing when I walked in, and it felt like baby would be here any moment — but labor had a different plan.

Minutes turned into hours, and we could see the exhaustion setting in. This wasn’t what she had anticipated, and yet she kept going with so much determination! After some time, a nurse-midwife checked and reassured her that her body was finally ready for more productive pushing.

With Jessi feeling completely spent, one of the midwives suggested a small change — having her husband sit behind her, offering support and helping her hold her legs. That simple shift made all the difference! With his steady presence behind her, Jessi pushed sweet baby Daisy into the world in just four pushes!

Watching that moment unfold was so incredibly moving. Birth has a way of reminding us how powerful support and connection can be, especially when things don’t go exactly as planned!

If you’re planning a home birth in Gilbert and feel drawn to having your story documented in an honest, respectful way, I’d love to connect! You can reach out anytime to learn more about birth photography and see if it feels like the right fit for you.
