A Mesa Maternity Session With So Many Beautiful Locations
As a Mesa maternity photographer, I love when my clients are open to exploring different locations and trying lots of different posing ideas! It gives us so much variety during a session, and this particular East Valley location is one of my favorites because you can get SO many different looks in one place.
The Salt River is one of the few locations in Arizona where you can get many different looks all within a couple minutes walk! You have trees, mountains, cacti, and even the river. Pretty much everything you could want for an Arizona maternity session!

Desert Maternity Photography in the East Valley
We started this session tucked into the trees, which gave us a beautiful, soft backdrop for the beginning of their desert maternity photography session. I love mixing the greenery and desert scenery because it keeps the gallery feeling varied while still giving you that Arizona look.
About halfway through the session, they were totally up for driving down to the river, and I am so glad we did!
Salt River Maternity Photos at Blue Hour
The river gave us a completely different look for the second half of their session. We were able to capture some beautiful Salt River maternity photos as the light started to change into blue hour.
I love shooting during this part of the evening because everything starts to feel a little more dreamy and peaceful. Between the water, mountains, and changing sky, it was such a beautiful way to finish their Mesa maternity photography session.
From Maternity Photos to Family Photos
And the very best part? I recently got to photograph their family again after their sweet baby arrived!
Getting to photograph a family during maternity and then see them again with their new baby is seriously one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. I love getting to document these little chapters for families and then watching their family grow in front of my camera.
From Mesa maternity photography to newborn and family photos, getting to be there for more than one season of their story is pretty special.
